The posters featured here are linked to and build on the three interactive maps: “How (un)affordable is housing in Belgrade?,” “Buy Back Berlin!,” and “Stop Evictions!” for Barcelona. They explain the particular legislative procedure or instrument of focus for the respective city and include an index of selected involved actors that were mapped as part of the analysis activities of the team. These posters were designed as advocacy and communication tools that connect to the interactive online maps through a different medium, in real spaces beyond the virtual. The versions of the posters you find here have interactive links embedded in the names of the actors.
The poster for Belgrade is titled “Law Proposal: Rent Control,” which is a motion that the Ministry of Space is supporting the political platform Don’t Let Belgrade D(r)own in pursuing. For Berlin, the poster is titled “Right of Preemption” and is intended to support debates and efforts to reform the existing legislation so that it is effective again after being repealed by the 2021 court ruling. As for Barcelona, the poster has the same title as the map, “Stop Evictions!,” and was designed to clarify the processes, involved parties, and potential trajectories in the case of an eviction order.
